Chemical Compounder
Chemical compounders are responsible for the production, filling, and packaging of the asphalt manufacturing process. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to following a batch sheet to produce the asphalt compounds, quality assurance of the finished product, re-stocking of raw materials, general preventative maintenance, adherence to production procedures, and occasionally filling and labeling of pails and drums, and the reporting of production volumes.
Quality Control – Compounders shall make batches and be responsible for performing all the required quality control tests. They are authorized to make minor adjustments to batches to ensure the product conforms to the required viscosity specifications listed on the batch sheets. Significant deviations shall be discussed with the plant manager prior to the addition of materials.
Production Procedure Adherence – Compounders personnel shall add all material in accordance with the batch sheets in the listed order and mark off each item. They shall ensure that all filled containers have the are proper label, batch numbers and product codes.
Filling and Labeling – The occasionally will be responsible to ensure that all pails and drums are properly labeled and sealed in accordance with the production schedule.
General Preventative Maintenance – Compounders shall insure that all preventative maintenance on equipment in their area be completed as required. This includes but is not limited to filter changing, greasing of mixers, water removal from compressed air lines, and any other required needs.
Compensation commensurate with experience. FBC is an Employee-owned company. Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
