Full time or Part time position as Optician or Apprentice Optician at a private optometry practice.
*** SOME OPTICAL EXPERIENCE REQUIRED***
Looking for someone ambitious and self motivated who is willing to learn and grow with the practice. We are looking for someone with the following characteristics:
- Great personality, FRIENDLY WITH EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS
- Prior experience in optical
- Enjoys talking to people and has a positive attitude
- Can multitask and is a quick/motivated learner
- Good basic computer skills (will learn Revolution EMR- electronic medical records system)
- Strong communication skills
- Great work ethic, organized and DEPENDABLE
- Takes pride in their work
- Detail oriented
All employees will be cross trained. Job Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Assisting in eye wear selection/sales for patients
- Fitting and Adjusting eye wear on patients; dispense and repair glasses
- Trouble shooting patient eyeglass prescription complaints/problems
- Ordering glasses and contacts from the lab
- Answering phones/emails/texts
- Checking patients in and out
- Checking insurance benefits/eligibility and billing insurances
- Pre- testing patients before they see the doctor
