Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Assembler - Brake Specialist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, inspecting, and testing brake components and systems with precision and efficiency. Your mechanical expertise will ensure that each product meets quality standards and safety regulations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced tools and techniques, contributing directly to the production of high-quality braking systems.
Responsibilities
- Assemble brake components and systems using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment according to detailed schematics and blueprints
- Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to ensure accurate assembly and fabrication processes
- Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify component dimensions and tolerances
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the assembly process to identify defects or deviations from specifications
- Operate machining, welding, and fabrication equipment safely and effectively
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety standards
- Assist in warehouse activities including material handling with forklifts and overhead cranes.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in heavy machinery manufacturing environments.
- Relevant experience with heavy machinery assembly required.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments
- Experience with welding and fabrication techniques is highly desirable
- Familiarity with warehouse operations including forklift operation and overhead crane operation is a plus
- Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately while maintaining high-quality standards
- Adheres to all safety rules, guidelines, and codes.
- Must have and be able to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read a tape measure.
- Detail-oriented, consistent workmanship.
- Thorough understanding of practices involved in the use of various types of heavy equipment.
- Thorough understanding of safety rules and ability to safely operate machinery.
- Superior skill operating assigned equipment safely and efficiently.
- Works well as a productive member of a team.
- Basic ability in mathematics, reading, or writing.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
