Job Summary:
The Area Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple restaurants, ensuring that all locations meet company standards for quality, service, and safety. This role focuses on supervising restaurant managers, optimizing operational performance, and driving results to achieve strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Supervise restaurant managers across multiple locations, ensuring high standards of customer service and operational excellence.
- Monitor and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), including sales, labor costs, and food quality, implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and profitability.
- Conduct regular site visits to ensure compliance with health codes, safety regulations, and company policies at each location.
- Provide training, development, and mentorship to restaurant managers, promoting a culture of leadership and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with restaurant managers on inventory management and supply chain processes to ensure adequate stock levels and timely deliveries.
- Manage cash handling processes and ensure accurate reporting of sales through POS systems.
- Address employee concerns and conflicts promptly, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment across all restaurants.
- Prepare and maintain reports on operational performance, staffing, and safety compliance for the Director of Operations.
- Implement and enforce safety and sanitation protocols, conducting training sessions and audits as needed.
- Address customer concerns promptly and effectively to enhance overall satisfaction.
- Implement strategies for improving operational efficiency and profitability.
- Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to enhance customer experience and operational processes.
Experience
- 2-5 years of proven management experience in the restaurant or food service industry, with a focus on multi-unit management preferred.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams of managers.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficient in restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with staff and customers.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage diverse teams effectively.
- Ability to travel between locations as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
