Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Delivered Meals Delivery Driver to join our team. The driver will be responsible for delivering nutritious meals to clients homes while providing excellent customer service. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring that clients receive their meals on time and with care. 1099 Contract position.
Delivery Schedule (statewide):
Monday- Greenville, Tuesday- Charleston, Wednesday- Columbia, Thursday- Myrtle Beach, Friday- Florence
Requirements:
- Compassionate and works well with elderly and disabled clients
- Valid driver's license with proof of insurance
- Reliable Vehicle (2012 or newer)
- Carry Roadside assistance
- Working mobile phone with GPS
- Mon-Fri availability with occasional weekends
- Comfortable with interstate and highway driving
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required
**MUST USE PERSONAL VEHICLE**
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior experience in delivery services or working with seniors/individuals with disabilities
Duties:
- Safely load, transport, and deliver meals to clients in a timely manner.
- Follow designated delivery routes and schedules.
- Provide friendly and professional interactions with clients, ensuring their needs are met.
- Verify meal counts and ensure accurate deliveries.
- Assist clients as needed, ensuring their safety during meal drop-offs.
- Maintain accurate delivery records and report any concerns or issues to the supervisor.
- Adhere to all traffic and safety regulations while operating the company vehicle.
- Keep delivery vehicles clean and in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues.
- Uphold the confidentiality and dignity of clients.
Skills:
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs or obstacles when necessary.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
