Role Description
The Youth Services Office Manager is a full-time, on-site position based in Wahoo, Nebraska, responsible for overseeing the daily administrative operations of Saunders County Youth Services. This position serves as the administrative backbone of the department by coordinating office operations, maintaining financial and grant records, supporting program implementation, and providing exceptional customer service to youth, families, schools, and community partners.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily office operations, scheduling, calendars, and communications.
- Assisting with grant administration, including claims, reimbursements, deposits, budget tracking, inventory management, and maintaining grant compliance documentation.
- Preparing financial records, invoices, reports, and other administrative documents.
- Coordinating and facilitating community events, trainings, and youth programs.
- Working directly with families through the Community Response Program by connecting them with community resources and financial stability services.
- Maintaining confidential client records and data collection systems.
- Providing front office coverage and creating a welcoming environment for youth, families, and community partners.
- Collaborating with program staff to improve processes and support the department's mission.
- Performing other administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with bookkeeping, budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, or financial recordkeeping.
- Experience supporting grant administration or government programs is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with staff and community partners.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work compassionately with youth and families.
- Experience planning events, coordinating logistics, or managing projects is preferred.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in business, public administration, accounting, human services, or a related field preferred.
- Ability to pass required background checks.
Pay: $20.02 - $24.98 per hour
