Responsibilities
- Greet guests with a friendly, positive attitude and provide excellent guest services from arrival to departure
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and coordinate seating arrangements efficiently
- Answer phone calls promptly, using proper phone etiquette to handle reservations and inquiries
- Maintain organized waitlists and communicate wait times clearly to guests
- Assist with restaurant table management systems, ensuring optimal seating flow and turnover
- Support food safety protocols by maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in the host station
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow and guest satisfaction
Skills
- Proven experience as a host/hostess or in food service roles, demonstrating strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of restaurant reservation management and table management systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent communication skills, including phone communication and guest relations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently with strong organizational skills
- Basic math skills for managing reservations, seating counts, and POS transactions
- Familiarity with POS systems and food safety standards in a restaurant setting
- Professional phone etiquette and the ability to create a welcoming environment for all guests
