We are looking for a reliable, organized, and sales-driven Assistant Store Manager to help support daily operations, customer service, and sales growth at our print, copy, and document services store. This role requires strong sales experience.
What You’ll Do
As the Assistant Store Manager, you will help with daily store operations, customer service, and sales, including:
- Helping customers with print, copy, blueprint, scanning, signage, and document service questions
- Identifying customer needs and recommending the right products or services
- Preparing quotes, invoices, and payment requests
- Following up on quotes, pending approvals, open orders, and customer inquiries
- Helping convert customer inquiries into completed sales
- Answering phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries
- Upselling and cross-selling products and services when appropriate
- Building strong relationships with repeat customers, business customers, contractors, students, and walk-in clients
- Taking order information accurately and entering details into the system
- Coordinating with production staff to make sure jobs are completed correctly and on time
- Reviewing orders for accuracy, missing files, unclear instructions, or pricing issues
- Helping resolve customer questions or concerns professionally
- Supporting the Store Manager with daily checklists, task follow-up, and staff communication
- Assisting with inventory, supplies, vendor orders, and basic store administration
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3–4 years of experience in sales, customer service, retail operations, office administration, print/copy services, or a related role
- Print shop, copy center, signage, or document services knowledge
- Previous experience in a customer-facing sales or service position
- Strong communication and follow-up skills
- Good computer skills
- Ability to read and follow written instructions in English and Spanish
- Ability to stand, move around the store, and assist with daily shop tasks
Preferred Experience
Experience with any of the following is helpful, but not required:
- Blueprints, construction documents, scanning, binding, laminating, or large-format printing
- QuickBooks, POS systems, Google Workspace, Word, Excel, or similar tools
- Supervisory or assistant manager experience
Schedule
This is a Full-time position, but we'll consider Part-time hours for the right candidate.
Monday to Friday, in-person position. Schedule may vary depending on store needs.
Pay
Salary plus commission after a 90 day training period based on sales volume and job performance.
