About Us
We are a family-owned target market construction company in Los Angeles with over 30 years of experience building and remodeling some of the area’s most prestigious properties. Our mission is to deliver dream environments that enrich lives and relationships. We take pride in exceeding expectations at every step, delivering unparalleled service and craftsmanship.
Objective
We believe exceptional projects begin long before the first hammer swings.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Senior Estimator & Procurement Manager who thrives in the details, understands luxury residential construction, and wants to help build the premier preconstruction department in Southern California.
This is more than an estimating position.
We are looking for someone who can accurately estimate projects, strategically procure trade partners, improve preconstruction processes, and work closely with Operations, Design, Finance, and Business Development to ensure every project begins with confidence.
The Senior Estimator & Procurement Manager is responsible for leading the preparation of accurate cost estimates for high-end construction projects, ensuring alignment with our standards of quality and client expectations. This role involves analyzing project specifications, coordinating with subcontractors, and assessing project feasibility to support effective decision-making and maintain our reputation for transparency and precision.
Core Values Alignment
- Do the Right Thing: Uphold integrity in all client interactions, sales processes, and marketing communications. Ensure that all actions and strategies reflect our commitment to high standards and transparency.
- Care for Others: Demonstrate empathy and professionalism in all client and partner interactions. Create a supportive, collaborative environment within the team to ensure that every client feels valued and understood.
- Be Reliable: Consistently meet sales and marketing goals, maintaining accountabilities for all actions and follow-through on commitments to clients and the internal team.
- Win as a Team: Foster a collaborative approach between sales and marketing, promoting open communication and shared goals. Work closely with all departments to ensure collective success in delivering dream environments.
What You’ll Do
- Develop complete and accurate estimates for luxury remodels and custom ground-up homes.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from plans, specifications, and field investigations.
- Develop estimates for projects with incomplete plans by building comprehensive scopes of work.
- Lead subcontractor bidding, procurement, and vendor negotiations.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-quality trade partners throughout Southern California.
- Identify opportunities for value engineering while protecting quality and client expectations.
- Collaborate with Operations, Design, Finance, and Business Development throughout preconstruction.
- Help develop and improve estimating standards, procurement processes, and departmental operating procedures.
- Champion Buildertrend and maintain complete, organized project information throughout the preconstruction process.
Client Service Expectations
We deliver a white-glove, concierge-level experience to all clients. Our clients demand exceptional service, clear communication, and meticulous attention to detail. Success in this role requires:
- Exceptional Communication: Clearly and professionally articulate information to clients and team members, ensuring alignment at every stage.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and resolve issues proactively while maintaining client trust and satisfaction.
- Attention to Detail: Ensure all interactions, deliverables, and communications meet the highest standards of accuracy and quality.
- Professional Composure: Navigate high expectations with patience, empathy, and professionalism, ensuring every client feels valued.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who has demonstrated success in both estimating and procurement, not simply someone who has prepared estimates.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Extensive experience estimating luxury residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of Southern California labor, subcontractor, and material pricing.
- Expert-level quantity takeoff experience.
- Experience estimating both ground-up custom homes and complex remodels.
- Proven success managing subcontractor bidding and procurement.
- Existing relationships with quality Southern California trade partners.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects without sacrificing accuracy.
- Experience using Buildertrend is strongly preferred.
Minimum Performance Metrics
- Accuracy and timeliness of project estimates.
- Positive client and team feedback on clarity and accuracy of cost projections.
- Success in identifying value engineering options that meet project goals without compromising quality.
- Effective coordination with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive and reliable bids.
Performance metrics will be evaluated and assigned annually in alignment with our Construction’s strategic objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- 5+ years of estimating experience in high-end residential construction (remodel and new build).
- 2+ years of Buildertrend experience including building proposals.
- Experience developing estimates from both complete construction documents and conceptual scopes.
- Strong proficiency in estimating software (e.g., AutoCAD, Plan Swift) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing and building methods.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in working with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Understanding of local building codes and industry standards.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, architects, designers, subcontractors, and internal teams.

- Individuals who continuously improve systems and processes.
- People who take pride in producing accurate work the first time.
