Position SummaryThe Facility Maintenance and Driver is responsible for the upkeep, safety, and regulatory compliance of the CBRF's building and grounds, while also providing safe and reliable transportation with company vehicle for clients to scheduled appointments and activities. This role serves as the primary point of contact for all maintenance-related matters, vendor coordination, and facility readiness, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents, staff, and visitors.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Maintenance & Regulatory Compliance
- Conduct routine inspections and regulatory checks (fire safety, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, water temperature logs, emergency lighting, etc.) to ensure ongoing compliance with state CBRF licensing requirements.
- Complete light repairs throughout the facility (drywall patching, minor plumbing/electrical fixes, door hardware, furniture repair, etc.).
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inspection records, and documentation for state surveys and audits.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repair needs.
Grounds & Seasonal Care
- Perform routine groundskeeping duties, including mowing, trimming, weeding, and general landscape upkeep.
- Manage snow and ice removal from walkways, entrances, and parking areas to ensure resident and visitor safety.
- Maintain outdoor common areas in good, safe condition year-round.
Room Preparation & Painting
- Prepare resident rooms for move-in/move-out, including painting, cleaning, and minor repairs.
- Touch up paint and finishes throughout the facility as needed to maintain a clean, well-kept appearance.
Transportation
- Safely drive clients to scheduled medical appointments, errands, and activities as assigned.
- Maintain the facility vehicle(s), including cleanliness, fuel, and routine maintenance scheduling.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable transportation safety regulations and assist clients with mobility needs as required.
________Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in facility maintenance, general repair, or a related field preferred.
- Valid, unrestricted driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check and driving record check per state CBRF requirements.
- Basic knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) and general repair skills.
- Comfortable working around and assisting elderly or disabled clients.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and respond to urgent facility needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including snow removal.
- Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle and assist clients with entering/exiting the vehicle.
Work EnvironmentThis position involves both indoor facility work and outdoor grounds/vehicle work in all seasons. Some flexibility in scheduling may be required to accommodate client appointments and facility emergencies.
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
