Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and experience in operating various types of vehicles, including tow trucks and flatbeds. This role requires effective conflict management skills and the ability to handle various tasks related to heavy duty truck repair and maintenance. The Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transport of vehicles and equipment.
Duties
- Operate heavy duty tow trucks and flatbed vehicles for transporting heavy duty tractor trailers and heavy equipment.
- Load and unload vehicles safely while adhering to all safety protocols.
- Perform routine mechanical inspections and minor repairs on vehicles as needed.
- Utilize manual transmission vehicles proficiently.
- Manage conflicts effectively with clients or team members during operations.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle conditions, repairs, and transport activities.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and timely service delivery.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with heavy duty tow trucks and flatbeds.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in truck repairs repair.
- Familiarity with conflict management techniques to handle challenging situations.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently.
- Previous experience in heavy duty towing and wrecker operations is preferred.
- A background as a mechanic is a plus, enhancing the ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks effectively.
