Position Overview
As a Registered Nurse at Carolinas ContinueCARE Hospital at Pineville, you will provide advanced nursing care to patients recovering from complex medical conditions such as respiratory failure, post-surgical complications, multi-system organ dysfunction, and other critical illnesses.
You will play a key role in stabilizing patients, supporting recovery progression, and improving long-term outcomes in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, high-quality nursing care to critically ill or medically complex patients
- Perform comprehensive assessments and monitor patient progress
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and specialized treatments
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to develop individualized care plans
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure regulatory compliance
- Serve as a patient advocate throughout the recovery process
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or Compact State
- Minimum 1 year of acute care, ICU, critical care, or LTAC experience strongly preferred
- BLS Certification (Required)
- ACLS Certification (Required within 90 days of hire)
- Strong critical thinking skills and clinical judgment
- Compassionate, team-oriented mindset
