American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Acute Orthopedics Med/Surg position in Santa Fe, NM requiring at least 1 year of experience and current BLS certification.

Acute Orthopedics unit within a regional medical center

Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

13-week contract

Active NM or Compact RN license required
-
BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required

Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg or related nursing specialty experience

SSN required for consideration

2 professional references required for consideration

Provides nursing care using the full nursing process — assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned patients on an acute orthopedics unit

Administers medications and treatments per protocol, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness

Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
-
Provides patient and family education, identifying learning needs and available resources
-
BSN preferred but not required

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate
