Join our dynamic team as an independent Hot Shot Courier contractor and become the vital link that keeps our operations moving swiftly and efficiently! In this energetic role, you’ll be responsible for delivering automotive parts, and materials with speed, precision, and accuracy. Your expertise in driving, material handling, and customer service will ensure every delivery is completed safely and on time. Duties
- Safely operate your own reliable personal vehicle, truck or box truck preferred, to deliver time-sensitive automotive and heavy duty truck parts from parts distributors to their designated customers in a timely manner.
- Transport occasional skids or pallets of parts from parts distributors to their customers in a safe and secured manner utilizing straps or tie downs as needed. Must be able to safely handle or lift 50 lbs. without assistance.
- Plan efficient routes using mobile devices to optimize delivery times and comply with traffic regulations.
- Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and documented properly, including signatures and proof of delivery
- Maintain vehicle safety by performing routine inspections, reporting issues promptly, and adhering to all safety protocols including weight handling in the workplace.
- Communicate professionally with clients upon delivery, providing excellent customer service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Follow all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies during route driving to ensure personal safety and compliance with legal requirements
Skills
- Proven experience as a courier or delivery driver with a strong background in warehouse operations, commercial driving, and organizational skills
- Excellent driving skills with adherence to traffic regulations
- Physical ability for heavy lifting, manual handling, moving items efficiently while maintaining safe lifting practices
- Strong organizational skills for route planning and load management using mobile devices or GPS tools
- Outstanding customer service skills with a professional attitude during deliveries
- Knowledge of warehouse experience, material handling equipment operation, heavy lifting techniques, and safe workplace weight handling practices is a plus.
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
