We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, highly professional, and IL licensed GLP-1 / Wellness Nurse to join our team. This role is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about client education, accountability, wellness transformation, and delivering an elevated luxury experience while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Position Summary
The GLP-1 / Wellness Nurse will oversee and support clients enrolled in our medical weight loss program, including those using semaglutide and tirzepatide-based treatment plans under provider supervision and within state scope-of-practice guidelines. This role is responsible for client onboarding, follow-up care, medication education, injection support, progress monitoring, documentation, and helping clients stay engaged and successful throughout their treatment journey.
This is not a passive nursing role. We are looking for someone who can build trust, create accountability, identify red flags, support client retention, and contribute to the growth and excellence of the program.
Key Responsibilities
Client Care & GLP-1 Program Oversight
- Conduct weight loss consultations and intake appointments alongside the provider/medical team as appropriate
- Review medical history, contraindications, current medications, symptoms, and treatment goals
- Educate clients on GLP-1 medications including: expected outcomes, dosing schedules and titration, injection technique, side effects and side effect management, hydration, protein intake, exercise, and lifestyle recommendations, long-term expectations and maintenance planning
- Administer in-office injections as indicated
- Teach clients proper self-administration when take-home dosing is appropriate and approved
- Monitor clients throughout their treatment plan for response, tolerance, side effects, and adherence
- Identify concerns that require provider review, medical clearance, dosage adjustment, or discontinuation
- Accurately document all client interactions, education, medication administration, progress, and follow-up recommendations
Collaboration & Operations
- Work closely with the provider and spa leadership to maintain safe, compliant, and effective protocols
- Maintain inventory awareness for GLP-1 supplies, injection supplies, and related wellness products
- Assist with treatment room preparation, medication storage standards, and workflow efficiency
- Support the front desk and client care team with scheduling guidance, program questions, and client communication as needed
- Participate in team training, program refinement, and client experience improvement initiatives
- Uphold all state, medical, and practice standards regarding nursing care, medication handling, delegation, documentation, and patient confidentiality
Qualifications
- Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience required
- Prior experience in medical weight loss, wellness, med spa, hormone, family practice, internal medicine, or injectable medication management preferred
- Comfortable administering injections and educating clients on at-home injection use
- Strong understanding of client safety, contraindications, documentation, and escalation of medical concerns
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, educate clearly, and create trust with clients
- Professional, polished, calm, and confident presence
- Highly organized with strong follow-through and attention to detail
- Sales awareness and client retention mindset preferred; must be comfortable discussing treatment plans, packages, and long-term wellness goals in a natural, ethical way
- Experience with EMR/charting systems and med spa software is a plus
- Preferred schedule - Tuesdays and Thursdays

Pay: $26.50 - $32.50 per hour
