Overview:
Small, local-owned bakery seeking a reliable, friendly team member to handle daily front-of-house operations, customer service, and store upkeep.
Responsibilities:
- Operate cash register, process payments, handle cash drawer accurately
- Open store: prep displays, start equipment, stock shelves, set up POS
- Close store: clean equipment, restock for next day, secure cash drawer, lock up
- Maintain bakery case/display — restock items, rotate stock, keep visually appealing
- Greet and assist customers, answer questions about our baked goods and offerings
- Keep front and back areas clean and sanitized
- Restock packaging supplies (bags, boxes, napkins)
- Assist with light food prep or packaging as needed
- Receive and store deliveries
- Follow food safety and handling guidelines
Requirements:
- Reliable and punctual
- Comfortable handling cash/POS systems
- Friendly, customer-focused attitude
- Able to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for extended periods
Preferred Skills, but not required:
- Barista experience
- Prior retail/food service experience a plus, not required
Schedule: Sunday 7:00AM - 2:30PM; potential additional hours on weekday afternoon
Pay: From $17.00 per hour
