Immediate opening for an experienced Carpenter/Laborer.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to perform a variety of carpentry, repair, maintenance, and installation tasks for residential and/or commercial properties. The ideal candidate is experienced in general construction, troubleshooting, and repairs, with strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general carpentry, including framing, trim work, cabinetry, drywall repair, and finish carpentry.
- Install and repair doors, windows, flooring, baseboards, and molding.
- Complete routine maintenance and repair tasks, including plumbing, electrical, painting, and tile work.
- Assemble and install fixtures, shelving, furniture, and appliances.
- Repair fences, decks, gates, and other exterior structures.
- Diagnose maintenance issues and determine the most effective repair solutions.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding project status and repair recommendations.
- Estimate materials needed and maintain inventory of tools and supplies.
- Follow all company safety policies and local building codes.
Job may also include operation of a tractor, bobcat, trencher, backhoe, etc.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in carpentry, handyman services, construction, or a related trade.
- Knowledge of carpentry, drywall, painting, basic plumbing, electrical, and general home repairs.
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and work orders.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work on ladders, roofs, and in various weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with remodeling and renovation projects.
- Basic knowledge of HVAC systems.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
Work Environment
- Residential and commercial job sites.
