Job Overview
Legacy Academy of Excellence Charter School, an International Baccalaureate MYP World School, is looking for several high energy, hard working, child centered, and flexible Full-Time Substitute Teachers to provide substitute instructional support in grades K – 8 for the 2026/27 school year. Legacy Academy is located in a beautiful very scenic area in Rockford, Illinois across from a lovely park with a welcoming and supportive staff.
The candidate should be very passionate about education; self-directed and self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility. Additionally, the candidate must have the capacity to work with individual children that have various learning needs. Qualified candidates should be able to work collaboratively with Classroom Teachers and Instructional Leaders to meet the needs of the whole class or the individual student. Flexibility is a must for this position. Training will be provided by Legacy staff.
The candidate must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree or Substitute PEL license and be able to pass state and federal background checks along with a drug test. Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
