Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced, and reliable Ballet, Musical Theatre, and Tap Dance Instructor to join our growing dance faculty. The ideal candidate is passionate about inspiring students of all ages and skill levels while creating a positive, engaging, and supportive classroom environment.
The instructor will teach recreational and pre-professional students, develop age-appropriate lesson plans, choreograph routines for recitals and performances, and work collaboratively with our faculty to provide an exceptional dance education.
Responsibilities
- Teach Ballet, Musical Theatre, and Tap classes for students of various ages and experience levels.
- Plan and deliver engaging, structured, and age-appropriate lessons.
- Develop students' technique, musicality, performance quality, and confidence.
- Choreograph routines for annual recitals, showcases, and special performances.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging classroom environment.
- Track student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Communicate professionally with parents, students, and studio staff.
- Arrive prepared and on time for all assigned classes, rehearsals, and performances.
- Follow studio policies and contribute to a collaborative team culture.
- Participate in faculty meetings, dress rehearsals, and studio events as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience teaching Ballet, Musical Theatre, and/or Tap Dance.
- Strong technical knowledge and teaching ability in at least one of the listed dance styles.
- Experience working with children, teens, and/or adults.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- Professional, dependable, and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students while maintaining proper technique and discipline.
- Choreography experience is preferred.
- Dance degree, teaching certification, or professional performance experience is a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
