Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases in a friendly, professional manner
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity
- Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area, including stocking supplies and merchandising products
- Upsell additional items or promotions to enhance customer shopping experience and increase sales
- Conduct product demos when applicable to educate customers about new or featured items
- Provide excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or taking inquiries
- Support inventory management through stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and participating in stock counts
Skills
- Proficiency with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Previous supervising experience in retail or customer service environments is a plus
- Ability to perform basic math quickly and accurately for transactions and inventory counts
- Strong communication skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued for serving diverse customer bases
- Experience with grocery store operations, including merchandising and stocking products
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques such as upselling and product demos
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive shopping experiences
- Familiarity with phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally
