American Traveler is hiring a Travel Echo Technologist for a cardiac ultrasound unit, requiring RCS certification and 1-3 years of experience across neonatal to geriatric patient populations.

Position is located in a main hospital building, first floor cardiac ultrasound department
-
2-bed unit with a staff of 7 echo technologists
-
Day shift staffing of 2-3 technologists; evening staffing of 1-2 technologists with no overnight shifts; 1-2 staff on weekends
-
1:1 patient ratio
-
Procedures include complete 2D echocardiography
-
GE ultrasound equipment used
-
Meditech Expanse is the documentation system
-
Shift hours are 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM
-
Call requirement of 3-7 nights per month for emergency stat echo coverage
-
13-week contract
-
Minimum of 2 years of Echo Tech experience required, with active experience within the last 6 months

RCS (Registered Cardiac Sonographer) certification required
-
Current BLS certification required (AHA or ARC accepted; must not expire within the first 30 days of start)

Experience with neonatal through geriatric patient populations

License required if applicable

US SSN and DOB required for consideration

Two professional references required (Florida position)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility; local candidates are not eligible

Ability to complete echo studies in under 45 minutes per patient is preferred

Must be able to function independently and adapt to a fast-paced, fluid work environment

Must be available for on-call emergency stat echo coverage
