Estimators are responsible for preparing and completing bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects. The Estimator controls the construction costs by collecting and studying information, evaluating bid specifications and drawings, ensuring they know what is required to successfully bid and win projects. The Estimator works directly with Director of Operations and Project Management to ensure the profit and success of the job.
Experience Required:
· 5+ years estimating Commercial Electrical Projects
· Comfortable with bidding projects in the 100k to 2 million range
Experience with:
· Tenant Uplifts
· Medical Offices
· Schools
· Retail locations
· Restaurant locations
· Light Industrial
· Design-build projects
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform accurate takeoffs
· Solicit and compare vendor quotes
· Build complete bid packages
· Identify missing scope on bid day
· Attend pre-bid meetings with Director of Operations
· Coordinate with Project Managers after job award
· Maintain relationships with General Contractors
· Work with all other management internally to reach company goals
