The Housing Authority of Lancaster is accepting applications for a full-time Groundskeeper/Maintenance Technician. This position is responsible for maintaining the appearance, safety, and general upkeep of Housing Authority properties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate lawn mowers, weed eaters, blowers, and other landscaping equipment
- Perform routine grounds keeping duties including mowing, trimming, edging, and debris removal
- Pressure Wash outside units, walkways- as needed
- Complete general maintenance and repair work in residential units and common areas
- Paint apartments, offices, and common areas as needed
- Perform sheetrock repair, patching, and minor carpentry work
- Assist with unit turnovers and property preparation for new tenants
- Conduct basic plumbing, electrical, and maintenance repairs as assigned
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized manner
- Respond to maintenance work orders in a timely manner
Qualifications:
- Experience in groundskeeping and general maintenance preferred
- Knowledge of lawn care equipment and maintenance tools
- Ability to paint, repair sheetrock, and perform basic repairs
- Ability to lift, bend, climb, and work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Valid driver’s license preferred
- Must be dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
