- Greet customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable assistance.
- Become proficient in operating the point-of-sale (POS) register system.
- Read, speak, and understand English to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
- Demonstrate basic math skills to accurately process transactions, make change, and balance the cash drawer at the end of each shift.
- Stand and remain active for 4–8 hour shifts.
- Weigh, package, and label a variety of bulk food items when not assisting at the register.
- Perform routine housekeeping duties, including sweeping, vacuuming, and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
- Maintain a neat, professional appearance and provide excellent customer service in a fast-paced, family-owned market environment.
