About the Role
Air Business Solutions is a fast-growing retail technology company delivering an integrated platform (AirESL, AirPOS, AirBiz ERP, AirWMS, Air Pay) to retailers across the U.S. We're looking for a highly organized, bilingual bridge between our U.S. team and our China-based development team. This person will be the critical link ensuring our internal staff's needs are clearly communicated to the China dev team, and that the China team's updates, timelines, and requirements are clearly relayed back to the U.S. side.
What You'll Do
Serve as the primary communication bridge between Air Business Solutions' U.S. team and our China-based development team. Translate and relay internal team issues, bug reports, and feature requests to the China dev team clearly and accurately. Ensure the China dev team fully understands priorities, deadlines, and expectations from the U.S. side. Provide regular, clear updates to U.S. leadership and staff on the China team's progress, blockers, and timelines. Understand what the China team needs from the U.S. side (specs, feedback, approvals, assets) and proactively follow up to keep projects moving. Develop strong working knowledge of our core systems, including AirBiz ERP, AirPOS, AirWMS, and AirESL, to communicate technical issues accurately in both directions. Keep detailed, organized records of open issues, requests, and status updates across both teams. Flag miscommunications or cultural/context gaps early, before they become project delays.
Schedule
Core U.S. hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST, in-office in Manhattan. Evening coordination with the China team is approximately 3 hours per night, remote, after core hours.
Requirements
Fluent in Mandarin Chinese and English, spoken and written. Deep understanding of both U.S. business culture and Chinese business culture, able to navigate communication style differences smoothly. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and reliable with follow-through. Tech-savvy and comfortable learning new software systems quickly (ERP, POS, WMS, ESL platforms). Strong written and verbal communication skills in both languages. Comfortable working a split schedule combining daytime U.S. hours with evening China-hours coordination. Prior experience in tech support, project coordination, account management, or a similar liaison role is a plus.
Ideal Candidate
Someone who thrives as a translator, not just of language but of context, able to take a vague internal request, ask the right clarifying questions, and turn it into something the China dev team can act on immediately, and vice versa.
