We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Attorney at Law to join our legal family! We are a Veteran owned and operated law firm located in beautiful Currituck County, North Carolina since 2016. We have a great deal of demand for attorneys in this area, and we need to hire a self-motivated and organized associate for this position. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing clients, drafting legal documents, conducting research, and advocating effectively in court proceedings. Duties
- Provide comprehensive legal advice and counsel to clients on various legal matters, including estate planning, immigration, family law, and environmental issues
- Draft and review legal documents such as contracts, wills, trusts, pleadings, motions, and other court filings with precision and clarity
- Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with procedural laws
- Prepare for trial by organizing evidence, developing case strategies, and participating in court depositions and hearings
- Negotiate settlements and legal terms on behalf of clients to achieve favorable outcomes while maintaining professional integrity
- Manage multiple cases efficiently through effective legal case management systems while ensuring timely updates to clients
- Advocate passionately in court during litigation proceedings across general & commercial litigation, personal injury cases, employment law disputes, and other civil matters
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active licensure to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
- Proven experience in diverse legal fields such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law case experience, and general litigation
- Strong research skills utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms for statutory and procedural legal research
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to draft clear and persuasive legal documents
- Demonstrated ability to prepare for court depositions and trial proceedings effectively
- Skilled in negotiation tactics and client communication to foster trust and clarity throughout the legal process
- Knowledge of procedural laws relevant to litigation processes along with experience in legal motion preparation and trial support
- Prior experience working in a law office environment with familiarity in legal case management systems is highly desirable
- Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines

Pay: $72,000.00 - $92,000.00 per year
