Online Sales Associate
Reports to: General Manager
The ReUse People of America (TheReUsePeople.org), headquartered in Oakland, California, is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing the enormous amounts of solid waste generated by residential and commercial building products. By salvaging and distributing building materials for reuse, TRP is transforming how the built environment is renewed.
The Online Sales Associate employs a myriad of tools and methodologies to promote the sale of salvaged building materials through the company’s online store and social media. This position offers wide-ranging activities and opportunities.
$28-$32 / hour depending on experience
· Photograph products, write short descriptions and upload to inventory and the online store.
· Receive sales inquiries, close sales or direct customers to specific store personnel.
· Assist in the development of website content.
· Assist warehouse personnel in completing sales.
· Work cooperatively with all departments managers.
· Constantly seek new promotional strategies.
· Minimum of two years in marketing or partial completion of a degree or certificate program in marketing, communications, digital media or related field
· Excellent writing and speaking skills (English with Spanish a plus)
· Basic editorial and graphic design abilities
· Effective public speaker
· Problem-solving mind set
· Licensed California driver with clean driving record
Pay: $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
