Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Youth instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth and creating a positive impact on their lives, this is an After School Matters position under Divine Purpose Youth Performing Arts Center and will be held at Olive Harvey College in Chicago, Illinois, job begins in late June for 6 weeks.
Duties
- Implement engaging activities to educate and entertain youth
- Manage behavior and create a safe and inclusive environment
- Utilize skills in early childhood education, special education, and behavior management
- Teach podcast, video / music interactive classes
- Incorporate theater or camp activities to enhance learning experiences
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in arts such as music, video, theater, podcast - Knowledge of first aid is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of youth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to various situations
