The 21st CCLC Program (Century Community Learning Centers), a partnership between the Farmington Municipal Schools and Boys & Girls Club of San Juan County, is offering an exciting opportunity for the right dynamic leader to join our innovative team. This opportunity will be for the academic year August 2026 - May 2027 (Monday-Thursday).
Overview:
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and successful operation of an afterschool program. This position provides leadership to program staff, creates a safe and positive learning environment for students, builds relationships with families and school personnel. The Site Coordinator provides professionalism, helps with student development, and maintain a high-quality enrichment program.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Oversees daily operation of the afterscchol program.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment for all students.
- Ensure program is in compliance with program expectations, organization mission, and safety procedures.
- Develop and implement engaging STEM, Arts & Crafts, recreational, and social-emotional learning activities.
- Communicates daily with school admin, families, team members, and Director of 21st program.
- Completes and submits all required documentation and communications—including lesson plans, monthly newsletters, site bulletin board, and family communications—in a timely manner.
- Ensure daily tasks are completed including posting learning goals, required documentations, and keeping program spaces clean and organized ready for the next school day.
- Strong decision-making and conflict resolution abilities
- Monitor student behavior and implement positive behavior management strategies.
- Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance, serving as a dependable leader whose presence models professionalism, supports staff, and ensures continuity of high-quality program operations.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work positively with parents, district personnel and BGC staff and students
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Valid Driver License
- Must meet all background clearance requirements
- Drug Free Environment
Part Time Work Schedule:
- Monday - Thursday
- 1pm - 6pm
- up to 22 hours/week
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
