Duties
- Perform a variety of nail services such as manicures, pedicures, gel manicures, acrylic and nail extension applications with precision and artistry
- Apply advanced techniques including nail art, color blending based on color theory, and esthetic laser treatments when applicable
- Maintain strict salon safety protocols by adhering to sanitation and disinfection procedures for tools, equipment, and workstations
- Consult with clients to understand their preferences, recommend suitable treatments, and communicate aftercare instructions effectively
- Upsell retail products like nail care essentials, skincare items, or hair extensions to enhance client satisfaction and salon revenue
- Stay current on industry trends such as eyelash extensions, body waxing, hair styling, and dermabrasion to offer comprehensive beauty services
- Ensure a clean, organized workspace that complies with all health regulations while providing a relaxing experience for clients
Requirements
- Valid cosmetology or esthetician license with specialization in nail technology from an accredited program
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with skills in manicure, pedicure, gel nails, acrylics, and nail extensions
- Strong knowledge of sanitation practices including disinfection procedures to maintain a safe environment
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with diverse clients
- Familiarity with color theory, nail care techniques, and retail sales strategies such as upselling products effectively
- Ability to perform detailed work efficiently while maintaining professionalism under pressure
- Additional skills such as hair threading, eyelash extensions, body waxing or laser treatments are a plus but not required
