Job Summary
We are seeking a self motivated, detail-oriented, Cathodic Protection Technician to join our team in maintaining the integrity of critical infrastructure within the oil & gas sector. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and maintaining cathodic protection systems that prevent corrosion on underground fuel storage tanks. Your expertise will help ensure safety and compliance with industry standards, and the longevity of infrastructure assets for our customers. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work outdoors on diverse sites while contributing to essential corrosion management efforts.
Duties
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain cathodic protection systems on Underground Fuel Storage Tanks and Piping
- Conduct electrical resistivity surveys to assess corrosion levels and determine appropriate protection measures
- Operate equipment such as earth drills, wet saws, and power tools safely and efficiently during installation and maintenance tasks
- Perform routine inspections of cathodic protection systems to ensure proper functioning and adherence to safety protocols
- Carry out corrosion control activities including sacrificial anode replacement, impressed current anode replacement, and rectifier installations
- Complete detailed records of inspections, repairs, and system performance for necessary compliance documentation
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors regarding project status and safety procedures.
Experience

- Proven experience or willingness to work in the energy & utilities sector with a focus on corrosion management and cathodic protection systems
- Hands-on experience with construction site work preferred, including concrete wet saws, earth drills, and use of hand tools
- Familiarity with electrical resistivity surveys, and corrosion control techniques or willingness to learn
- Demonstrated understanding of safety protocols related to power tools, machinery, and construction site safety regulations

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
