Join our vibrant preschool team as a Part-Time Dishwasher and Building Help! Duties
- Efficiently wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment following proper food safety sanitizing procedures
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks under supervision to support meal service for preschool children
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including counters, sinks, and storage spaces, adhering to sanitation standards
- Support with bussing tables and clearing dining areas during snack and meal times
- Help with manual handling tasks such as moving supplies, cleaning equipment, and organizing storage areas safely
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly, including dishwashers and other small appliances
- Ensure the building’s common areas are tidy and safe by assisting with light cleaning and organization tasks
Requirements
- Previous experience in food handling or food service environments is preferred; restaurant or catering experience is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices is highly desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers and sanitizing tools
- Strong attention to health and safety standards within a kitchen or hospitality setting
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting staff and children
- Prior experience in hospitality or hotel environments is advantageous but not required
