Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort throughout visits.
- Assist the dermatologist during examinations and minor procedures, including applying topical treatments or performing basic wound care.
- Collect specimens for laboratory testing, perform phlebotomy when necessary, and manage specimen labeling and transportation.
- Support medical office management tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Demonstrate knowledge of pharmacology to assist with medication administration under supervision and provide patient education on medication use.
- Ensure a clean, organized clinical environment by sterilizing equipment, managing supplies, and adhering to infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience in dermatology or outpatient clinical settings; hospital medicine or urgent care experience is highly valued.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, ICD coding, and pharmacology relevant to dermatology and general medicine.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or equivalent is required to ensure readiness for emergency situations.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy accurately and confidently; experience with X-ray or imaging procedures is a plus..

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
