Translogistix services our customers in PA, MD, VA, NC and SC by providing quality transportation, warehousing, and logistics solutions. We are currently seeking a Recruiter to join our team! This position manages our full cycle of recruiting contractors/owner-operators for our various business requirements to include Sprinter Vans, Cars/SUVs, as well as tractors and box trucks.
The person in this role will interact with our operations team to identify current and future hiring needs and assist in the creation of efficient communication processes between recruiting and operations after contractors/owner-operators are fully onboarded.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with department managers to identify location needs and draft requirements for job board advertising as well as determining qualification criteria for each position
- Source candidates through online channels, professional networks and job boards as well as scheduled job fairs
- Initially vet applicants under corporate standard operations procedure and the needs of the advertised positions
- Report to department managers on the status of hiring for open positions and effectively communicate with them when new hires are fully on-boarded
- Guide new hires through the on-boarding process
To be successful in this role, the right person should have previous transportation recruiting experience, candidate sourcing, interviewing.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Proven work experience as an Internal Recruiter, Recruiter or similar role, preferably in the transportation/logistics industry hiring contractors/owner-operators
- Experience sourcing Final Mile Home Delivery Contractors preferred.
- Solid understanding and experience using recruiting applications, such as SCI and Indeed a plus
- Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with other departments in a professional setting
- Excellent self-management and time-management
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus but not required
