Join Our Team: Sous Chef at The Restaurant at Gideon Ridge
The Restaurant at Gideon Ridge is seeking a dedicated and talented Executive Sous Chef or Chef de Cuisine to join our award-winning culinary team. Our kitchen is known for its refined, seasonal menus, intimate atmosphere, and commitment to hospitality. This is a full-time position, including weekends, ideal for a culinary professional who values quality, creativity, and leadership.
As the Executive Sous or Chef de Cuisine, you’ll work closely with our Executive Chef to guide daily kitchen operations, mentor staff, and ensure each guest enjoys an unforgettable dining experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to oversee service and ensure a seamless, efficient kitchen workflow.
- Contribute to the development of innovative, seasonal menus that reflect our farm-to-table philosophy and local ingredients.
- Lead and support kitchen staff, maintaining high standards for food preparation, presentation, and professionalism.
- Manage inventory and place orders to ensure consistent stock of quality ingredients.
- Uphold strict compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
- Prepare and plate dishes with precision, elegance, and consistency in line with our standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspiring work environment.
Qualifications:
- Proven leadership experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a fine dining setting.
- A deep appreciation for locally sourced, seasonal ingredients and creative menu development.
- Strong mentoring and team-building skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Solid understanding of inventory systems, kitchen efficiency, and food safety standards.
- Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for hospitality, culinary artistry, and guest satisfaction.
