We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. Responsibilities
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, ventilation systems, and building automation controls with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Perform routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to maximize efficiency and lifespan, including filter replacements, system calibrations, and preventive inspections.
- Diagnose and repair complex HVAC system issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical troubleshooting techniques.
- Conduct electrical diagnostics and repairs on HVAC systems, ensuring all electrical components are functioning correctly and safely.
- Troubleshoot refrigeration systems and mechanical components involved in HVAC operations to identify faults quickly and implement effective solutions.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and building automation system diagrams to facilitate accurate installations and repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by explaining repairs clearly, offering maintenance advice, and ensuring client satisfaction throughout every service call.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or in a similar construction or mechanical systems repair role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC design principles, electrical systems, plumbing, refrigeration, and building automation systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, electrical diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters, and mechanical tools for equipment troubleshooting.
- Experience with HVAC system installation, repair, maintenance, and system upgrades in commercial or residential environments.
- Ability to read schematics accurately and apply mechanical knowledge effectively during troubleshooting processes.
- Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC/R (Heating,Ventilation,A/C/Refrigeration) are preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of varying backgrounds.
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on safety standards and quality workmanship.
