Duties
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems across diverse property types.
- Read and interpret schematics, HVAC design plans, and technical manuals to ensure precise installation and troubleshooting.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC/R equipment to maximize efficiency and longevity.
- Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and welding equipment; perform necessary repairs or replacements.
- Collaborate with clients to assess their needs, provide expert recommendations, and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Perform plumbing work related to HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration setups when required.
- Operate a <PERSON> driver vehicle safely for field service calls while maintaining proper documentation of work performed.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a service technician or installer within the HVAC industry; construction background is highly valued.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair, welding, boiler systems, and property maintenance.
- Familiarity with schematics, HVAC design principles, refrigeration systems (including ammonia refrigeration), and plumbing techniques.
- Ability to read technical diagrams accurately and troubleshoot complex HVAC/R issues efficiently.
- Experience working in field service environments with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of electrical testing tools such as ohmmeters; ability to perform appliance repair and maintenance tasks confidently.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating heavy equipment or specialized vehicles is a plus.
