If you’re looking for an affordable home, I’m offering an opportunity where you can live at a discounted rate while providing care for up to two private-pay clients. I own a well-maintained 3-bedroom, 2-bath home in Haines City, Florida and am looking to lease it to the right individual or small operator who has experience caring for seniors or adults who need assistance with daily living.
The Opportunity
The ideal tenant would:
- Live in the home as their primary residence
- Provide care for up to two residents (subject to all applicable Florida licensing, zoning, and regulatory requirements)
- Maintain the property in excellent condition
- Carry any licenses, insurance, and permits required for their operation
- Be responsible for operating and managing their caregiving business, including but not limited to:
- Ensure compliance with all state policies
- Coordinate resident care and services
- Maintain resident records and documentation
- Communicate with families, case managers, and healthcare providers
- Monitor medication administration procedures
- Participate in admissions and discharge planning
This arrangement is intended to create an affordable housing opportunity for a caregiver while allowing them to build or expand their residential care services.
