Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Window and Door Installer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and replacing windows and doors across residential and commercial projects. Your expertise in handling glass materials, using hand and power tools, and interpreting construction plans will ensure high-quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction. Duties
- Measure and assess window and door openings to ensure precise fitment using dimensional measurements and quality control standards
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute installation plans
- Handle glass materials carefully during transportation, fabrication, and installation processes to prevent damage
- Install windows and doors according to manufacturer specifications, construction plans, and safety protocols
- Use hand tools, power tools, caulking guns, and fabrication equipment to complete installations efficiently
- Perform trim carpentry, frame carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, cabinet installation, and remodeling tasks as needed
- Conduct heavy lifting safely during the transportation and positioning of large glass panels or heavy door units
- Apply construction estimating techniques for material needs and project timelines when required
- Ensure quality control by verifying measurements, alignment, sealing (caulking), and finish work for optimal performance
- Maintain a clean worksite by organizing tools, disposing of debris responsibly, and adhering to safety standards
Requirements
- Proven construction site experience with a focus on window and door installation or related carpentry work
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, technical drawings, and construction plans
- Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, screwdrivers), power tools (drills, saws), and specialized fabrication equipment
- Experience handling glass materials safely during installation or repair processes
- Ability to perform accurate dimensional measurements for proper fitment of windows and doors
- Knowledge of caulking techniques for weatherproofing and sealing installed units
- Physical capability for heavy lifting, standing for extended periods, climbing ladders/scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality control during installation procedures
- Handyman experience or remodeling background is a plus but not required
