Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC systems across residential, commercial, and industrial properties. Duties
- Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, ventilation systems, boilers, and refrigeration equipment according to schematics and HVAC design plans
- Conduct system troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment to identify issues accurately
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration) equipment to ensure peak performance
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals to execute precise installations and repairs
- Assist with plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ammonia refrigeration setups when necessary
- Operate welding tools and perform mechanical work such as equipment repair or component replacement
- Ensure all installations comply with safety standards, building codes, and environmental regulations including property maintenance protocols
- Drive company vehicles safely while transporting tools and equipment to job sites as a <PERSON> driver when required
- Collaborate with team members on complex projects involving HVAC design modifications or system upgrades
- Document work performed through detailed reports and logs for quality assurance and client records
Experience
- Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC installation, maintenance, or repair roles
- Strong background in construction practices related to mechanical systems installation
- Familiarity with schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans for accurate system setup
- Hands-on experience with refrigeration systems including ammonia refrigeration is highly desirable
- Mechanical knowledge of plumbing, boiler operation, appliance repair, and property maintenance is a plus
- Field service experience working directly at customer sites with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively for troubleshooting electrical issues
- Skilled in equipment repair techniques including welding and mechanical adjustments
- Experience working with HVAC/R systems in commercial or industrial environments is preferred
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; CDL or specialized refrigeration certifications are advantageous
