Automotive Controller – Automotive Dealership
Join Our Team as an Automotive Controller!
We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Automotive Controller to lead the accounting and financial operations of our growing dealership. Responsibilities
- Oversee all dealership accounting operations and financial reporting.
- Prepare monthly financial statements in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure timely month-end and year-end closings.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, contracts, and title processes.
- Reconcile bank accounts, floorplan, and inventory schedules.
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax professionals, and representatives.
- Supervise and mentor the accounting office staff.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
- Assist dealership leadership with financial analysis and strategic planning.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3–5 years of dealership controller or automotive accounting management experience.
- Strong knowledge of dealership accounting practices and financial statement preparation.
- Experience with dealership management systems (CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, DealerTrack, Wayne Reaves, Dealer Center, or similar).
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent automotive accounting experience).

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
