This position is responsible to help create, maintain, and repair the electronic components and equipment used in any equipment or device that involves electricity. The Electrical Apprentice works closely with more qualified technicians, electricians, or electrical engineers to keep machinery and equipment running correctly.

Assist to troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment, appliances, and apparatus.

Construct and fabricate parts, using hand tools and specifications.

Read and interpret electrical and electronic circuit blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.

Assist with the repair and replacement of defective components in motors, generators, controllers, switchboards, conductors, switches and varied electrical fixtures.

Install, maintain and repair electrical, electromechanical, and electronic parts of machinery and equipment.

Perform preventative maintenance on electrical equipment.

Evaluate electrical as well as operational problems.

Ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints

Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines

Excellent problemsolving skills

Oneyear Electrical Technical certification

Completion of an electrical apprenticeship

Experience operating hand and power tools, soldering and faulttesting equipment.
