Position Summary
The Construction Superintendent manages all field operations from project mobilization through final turnover. This role serves as Baraldi Construction's primary field representative, leading subcontractors, coordinating daily operations, maintaining quality and safety standards, and helping deliver projects safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest level of quality.
Key Responsibilities
Preconstruction & Project Planning
- Participate in project turnover and preconstruction meetings.
- Review drawings, specifications, contracts, schedules, subcontract scopes, and project requirements.
- Develop site logistics, phasing, and occupied-building work plans.
- Identify constructability concerns before work begins.
- Coordinate long-lead materials and procurement with the Project Manager.
Project Execution & Field Operations
- Lead field operations from mobilization through closeout.
- Coordinate subcontractors, Baraldi self-perform crews, vendors, inspections, deliveries, and building management.
- Plan daily work activities and maintain an organized, productive jobsite.
- Manage site logistics, temporary protection, and housekeeping.Resolve field issues before they impact schedule or budget.
Schedule & Production
- Develop and maintain three-week look-ahead schedules.
- Coordinate manpower and trade sequencing.
- Monitor production and communicate schedule risks.
- Plan shutdowns, after-hours work, and occupied-space activities.
- Develop recovery plans when necessary.
Safety
- Maintain a safe, clean, and professional jobsite.
- Enforce OSHA regulations and company safety requirements.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and toolbox talks.
- Coordinate project-specific safety planning with subcontractors.
- Document incidents and immediately correct unsafe conditions.
Quality Control & Closeout
- Review work for compliance with drawings and specifications.
- Conduct pre-installation meetings and quality inspections.
- Manage punch lists through Procore.
- Coordinate testing, inspections, commissioning, and owner turnover.
- Assist with warranties, O&M manuals, attic stock, and closeout documentation.
Project Documentation & Cost Awareness
- Maintain Daily Logs and project documentation in Procore.
- Track T&M work and obtain required approvals.
- Identify change order opportunities and notify the Project Manager.
- Document manpower, weather, deliveries, and field activities.
- Recognize field conditions that may impact project cost or schedule.
Occupied Building Coordination
- Coordinate with property management and building engineers.
- Manage access requests, badging, deliveries, and freight elevator reservations.
- Coordinate shutdowns and after-hours work.
- Minimize disruption to tenants and building operations.
Client & Stakeholder Coordination
- Build strong relationships with owners, architects, engineers, inspectors, property managers, and subcontractors.
- Lead subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Participate in owner meetings, job walks, and project coordination meetings.
- Communicate professionally and proactively throughout the project.
Leadership
- Lead by example and promote a professional jobsite culture.
- Mentor field staff and support their professional development.
- Hold subcontractors accountable for safety, quality, and schedule.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and problem-solving.
- Represent Baraldi Construction with integrity and professionalism.
Technology
- Utilize Procore for Daily Logs, RFIs, Drawings, Inspections, Punch Lists, and project documentation.
- Use Bluebeam Revu for plan review, markups, and field coordination.
- Utilize Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word daily.
- Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.
Qualifications
Required
- 7+ years of commercial construction experience.
- 5+ years as a Superintendent or equivalent field leader.
- Valid Massachusetts Unrestricted Construction Supervisor License (CSL).
- Experience managing commercial interiors, tenant improvements, and occupied renovations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred
- OSHA 30 Certification.
- Experience with life science, healthcare, or laboratory projects.
- Experience with commissioning and project closeout.
- Strong proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam Revu, and Microsoft Office.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
