Responsibilities:
- Assist with the care of patients in a healthcare setting, following established protocols and procedures
- Provide basic patient care such as bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing staff
- Assist with sterile processing of medical equipment and instruments
- Support patients with special needs, including those requiring behavioral health or pediatric care
- Assist with airway management and gastric lavage procedures
- Utilize electronic medical record systems such as Cerner and eClinicalWorks to document patient information
Skills:
- Previous experience working with children in a healthcare or childcare setting
- Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and procedures
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) and its proper use
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to remain calm and composed in high-stress situations
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation and adherence to protocols
