Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and responsible Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to customers and clients. This is a physically demanding role that requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle heavy lifting.
Duties:
- Load and unload goods from the delivery vehicle
- Safely transport goods to designated locations
- Follow delivery schedules and routes provided
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries
- Communicate effectively with customers and clients
- Perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Must be 21 years old
- Experience driving a manual transmission vehicle preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 150 lbs) on a regular basis
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with local roads and routes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Previous experience as a van driver, courier, or in a similar role is a plus
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and forklift experience is an asset
Note: This position requires physical exertion, including bending, lifting, and carrying heavy objects. The successful candidate must be able to meet these physical demands.
