Position Overview
We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Production Associates / General Laborers to join our growing manufacturing team in Channahon, IL. As a Production Associate, you will support the manufacturing workflow by operating machinery, packaging finished products, and ensuring all safety and quality standards are met.
Key Responsibilities and Job Duties
- Machine Operation & Support: Feed raw materials into production machinery and monitor equipment to ensure continuous, efficient operation.
- Assembly & Packaging: Hand-assemble products and securely package finished goods according to company guidelines and shipping specifications.
- Quality Control: Perform routine visual inspections of materials and finished products to identify defects or variances, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
- Material Handling: Safely lift, move, and stack materials weighing up to 50 lbs. consistently throughout a 12-hour shift.
- Facility Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area in compliance with OSHA regulations and plant safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively alongside team members and supervisors to meet daily production quotas and deadlines.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of recent experience in a light industrial, warehouse, manufacturing, or production environment.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. continuously for the duration of a 12-hour shift.
- Safety Gear: Must possess and wear steel-toe boots or shoes on the production floor.
- Pre-Employment Screening: Must be willing to submit to a standard pre-employment background check and drug screen.
- Dependability: Strong attendance record, punctuality, and a reliable means of transportation to the Channahon facility.
