Position Details
Full-time school-based assignment
Work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists
Provide direct therapy services to K-12 students
Implement treatment plans developed by supervising SLP
Maintain session documentation and progress notes
Collaborate with educators, parents, and special education teams
Contract length follows school calendar with extension opportunities available
California SLPA Requirements
Applicants must meet California requirements for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants, including:
Active California Speech-Language Pathology Assistant registration
Associate degree from a Board-approved SLPA program OR qualifying bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology/Communication Disorders
Required clinical fieldwork experience
Ability to work under supervision of a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist
California requires SLPAs to hold appropriate registration through the California Speech-Language Pathology & Audiology Board.
