American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Department RN for a 13-week night shift travel contract at a high-acuity, rural hospital in Henderson, NC, requiring a minimum of 1 year of ED experience and an active NC or compact RN license.

Work setting is a 20-bed Emergency Department in a rural, high-acuity hospital environment

Joint Commission accredited Duke LifePoint facility with an 'A' LeapFrog Hospital Safety Rating
-
Patient population is mixed/various acuity levels across all age groups

Patient ratio is 1:4, with surge ratios up to 1:5
-
Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
-
Must work 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
-
No on-call requirements

EMR: Paragon
-
Preferred experience includes peripheral IV, stroke, sepsis, and STEMI cases

Active NC or compact RN license required
-
AHA certifications required (BLS at minimum; specific AHA certs as applicable to the role)

Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department RN experience

Social Security number and date of birth required for consideration

Candidates must reside 60 or more miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates

Fast-paced, high-acuity rural ED environment

Scrub colors: black, navy, or royal blue

Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the past 12 months

Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment

Candidates residing within 60 miles of the facility are not eligible for this travel position
