Travel Phlebotomist – Hospital & Outpatient Laboratory
Contract Length: 8 Weeks
Start Date: August 10, 2026
Schedule: 5 x 7.5-hour shifts
Shift Availability: Must be flexible to work days, evenings, and nights as scheduled
Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
Float: Required based on department needs
Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using syringe and Vacutainer methods.
- Collect specimens from neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
- Follow CLSI standards for the order of draw and specimen collection.
- Process, label, transport, and store laboratory specimens accurately.
- Perform blood cultures, glucose tolerance tests, finger sticks, heel sticks, and neonatal screening collections.
- Prioritize STAT, timed, and routine specimen collections.
- Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Accurately document patient information and specimen data in Epic.
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff to ensure timely and accurate specimen processing.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of phlebotomy experience in a hospital or outpatient laboratory.
- Registered Phlebotomist certification preferred.
- Experience with Epic EMR required.
- Strong knowledge of specimen handling, blood collection tubes, additives, anticoagulants, and laboratory quality standards.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $950.00 - $1,033.00 per week
