Looking to grow our team of excellent Direct Support Professionals who make a difference in our consumers' lives. Our Direct Support Professionals assist with the implementation of consumer Person Centered Support Plans (PCSPs) and Activities of Daily Living. Consumers appreciate assistance in living life to its fullest through help with cooking, cleaning, bathing, dressing, traveling and enjoying vibrant lives in their communities through occupational, recreational and social activities. Importantly, Direct Support Professionals ensure that each consumer's rights are protected and treat consumers with dignity and respect. Training for this career can be done directly with Specialized Support Services, Inc. and the consumers.
Qualified candidates need a high school diploma or GED (or the willingness to pursue an alternative qualification once hired), the ability to pass a state-mandated background check and the desire to make a positive difference in people's lives by providing domestic, social, health, safety and emotional support.
We are filling two full-time positions. One is an evening position with a schedule of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 3-11p. The other is an overnight position with a schedule of 11p-7a From Wednesday through Sunday. Both openings require weekend work.
